Ingredients

  • sugar: 3
  • dates: 1
  • walnuts: 1
  • milk: 1
  • butter: 2
  • vanilla: 1

Instructions

  1. In a medium sauce pan, mix sugar, dates, butter and milk.
  2. Cook for 10 - 15 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and add walnuts, and vanilla.
  4. Beat until it thickens.
  5. Pour onto a cleaned dish towel (NOT TERRY CLOTH). Make sure the towel is wet but not soaking wet--little over damp. Roll it lengthwise and put into fridge until it has completely cooled.
  6. Unroll the wrap and slice.
